Sacred Harp Singing

Sacred Harp Sings are a traditional way for people to get together and sing. Using the Sacred Harp shape-note tune book as a source, a sing allows all participants the opportunity to stand in the center of the "hollow square" and lead a tune. The Pittsburgh Sacred Harp Sings have been recently revived and are now located at the East Liberty Presbyterian Church, 116 S. Highland Ave. Pittsburgh, PA 15206

Watch this page for announcements about future sings.

This is a "workshop" style sing with a brief introduction and instruction period before the singing starts, so if you've never tried it, this is a good place to start.
